Interview

We sent the local dentist some questions that we could use in our essays. It surprised how well the answers turned out; we were genuinely surprised. The information that we gathered from his answers will be beneficial when it comes to making our final copy. He answered vital questions that we were curious to find the answers to.

Charity time

I discussed in my rough draft of my essay that there should be a good amount of charities to help the situation. Shane found a list of charities that are dedicated to helping stop the terrible situations of the Appalachian kids. It is relieving to see that some people out there actually care and have went out of their own way to make a difference in someone else's community.

Dew the Dew

We discovered an article that expands on the little known facts about Mountain Dew. The creators of it always tried to go along with the moonshine theme. People think nowadays that it is the most dangerous soft drink, but they are wrong. It is false that the drinking of Mountain Dew will lower your sperm count; you have to be allergic to Tartrazine to have it lower your sperm count.

What we're thinking about working on

There are many possible topics that we have been capable of working on. The hard part is finding what interests us the most. What has caught our eyes are the issues focusing on Sierra Leone. The blood diamond conflicts have attracted us because of how much people truly do not know about it. We are also thinking more about doing the children of Appalachia. The children have been living in the most harsh conditions and no one pays them any attention or sympathy. My team is Tj and Shane.
